DataMerch tells you what other funders reported about a merchant. LenderAnalyzer reads the bank statements in the file and shows every open advance, the daily debit burden, NSFs and statements that do not tie out. From $99 a month.

DataMerch is a shared database run by and for the alternative finance industry. Member funders submit records on merchants they have funded, and every other member can search those records by EIN or legal name before they fund. The record types are specific to MCA risk: Default, Suspicious Activity (altered documents or manipulated bank statements), Slow Pay, Split Payer, Stacking History and Default Satisfied. Membership costs $695 a month on the Basic plan and $945 a month on Pro, per organization, with unlimited users and no long-term contract, according to DataMerch's own pricing page.
That is genuinely useful, and plenty of funders treat it as the first check on every submission. But a DataMerch search answers one question: has another member reported a problem with this merchant before. It says nothing about the merchant's last 90 days unless somebody already got burned and took the time to file a record. A merchant who took two new advances last month, with no default yet, comes back clean. So does a merchant whose stacking is happening with funders who are not members.
The bank statements in the file do not have that blind spot. Every open advance shows up as a recurring ACH debit, every funding shows up as a deposit, and every NSF and negative day is printed on the page. LenderAnalyzer reads those statements in minutes and returns the positions, the combined daily burden and the red flags, so your underwriter sees the current picture next to whatever the database says.
None of this replaces a DataMerch search if you are already a member. It covers the part of the file the database was never built to read, and for funders who are not members it is the stacking check they can run today.
LenderAnalyzer groups recurring ACH debits by payee and flags the ones that behave like an advance: daily or weekly fixed debits with remittance, holdback or funding language, or a payee that matches a known funder descriptor such as Libertas, Kalamata, Fora Financial, Credibly or Fundbox. Each position comes back with its payment amount, frequency, first and last debit date and whether it is still open.
A merchant who paid off one advance and took another is not stacking. One who is paying three at once is. The report counts the positions repaid in overlapping periods, flags two or more as Stacked advance positions, and shows the combined debit the open ones take out of the account every business day. That is the number your daily holdback has to fit on top of.
Funding deposits from known funders are tagged as loan proceeds and kept out of revenue, so a $40,000 credit from a funder two weeks before the application is visible even if that funder has not started debiting yet. A database only learns about that advance when someone files a record, and most funders file only after something goes wrong.
Each statement is reconciled line by line against its own printed running balance. If a figure has been changed, a page removed or a deposit typed in, the balances stop tying out and the file is flagged with the first mismatch and the amount it is off by. Round-number deposits and duplicated lines are listed for review too. That is evidence your underwriter can check on the page, rather than another funder's opinion.
The same pass counts NSF and overdraft incidents, negative balance days and net cash flow, and separates real revenue deposits from transfers, loan proceeds and refunds. Average daily balance and monthly revenue trends come out with it, so the stacking check and the sizing work happen in one upload instead of two tools.
Upload PDFs, scans or phone photos of statements from any US bank, or post them to the REST API on the Pro plan and receive a webhook when the analysis is done. Results export to Excel, CSV or JSON, so you can drop them into the scrub sheet or CRM you already use. There is no per-search limit and no membership application.
Funders on industry forums have complained publicly about merchants flagged for manipulated statements that verified clean when the funder logged into the account. When a record and the statements disagree, the statements are the thing you can actually prove. A reconciled report gives you a documented reason to fund, or to decline, either way.
Prices are each vendor's own published figures, checked October 2026. Where a vendor publishes no price, the table says so.

| Option | What it tells you | Published price | Main limitation | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LenderAnalyzer This page | Open advance positions, combined daily debit, funding deposits, NSFs, negative days, revenue and statements that do not tie out, read from the statements in the file | From $99 a month flat, with volume and enterprise tiers | Shows what is on the statements, not what other funders know about the merchant's history | Funders and ISOs who want a current stacking and cash flow check on every deal |
| DataMerch Basic | Member-reported records by EIN or legal name: default, suspicious activity, slow pay, split payer, stacking history, default satisfied | $695 a month per organization, unlimited users, billed monthly | Only knows what members chose to report; up to 3,000 searches a day and limited API access | Funders screening merchants for past defaults before underwriting |
| DataMerch Pro | Everything in Basic plus merchant subscriptions, EIN search history and submission source data | $945 a month per organization, unlimited users, billed monthly | Same member-reported data; adds monitoring, not new information about the account | High-volume funders that want full API access and alerts on merchants they funded |
| Bank login verification | Confirms the account is real and returns transactions straight from the bank after the merchant logs in | Not published by the main vendors; priced per verification or credit | The merchant has to complete the bank login, and some banks do not connect | Confirming statements are authentic before funding |
| UCC and public records search | UCC-1 filings by other funders, liens, judgments and lawsuits against the business | State filing searches are low cost; LexisNexis and Thomson Reuters CLEAR are quoted | Many advances are never filed, and filings lag the funding date | Spotting secured creditors and litigation history |

DataMerch is a shared underwriting database for the alternative finance industry, founded in 2015. Member funders submit records on merchants, such as defaults, suspicious activity, slow pay, split payments and stacking history, and other members search those records by EIN or legal name before funding a deal.
DataMerch's pricing page lists two plans. Basic is $695 a month per organization with unlimited users and up to 3,000 searches a day. Pro is $945 a month and adds unlimited searches, full API access, merchant subscriptions and submission source data. Both are billed monthly with no long-term contract.
There is no second shared database with the same member records, so the real alternatives check different things. Bank statement analysis shows current advances and stacking, bank login verification confirms the account, and UCC and public records searches show filed liens and judgments. Most funders combine two or three of these.
DataMerch describes itself as a database for funders, asks for a funder or company name and website on its sign-up form, reviews each application, and states that participation is required, meaning members are expected to contribute records. Brokers have reported using it, but access is approved by DataMerch rather than instant.
Read the last three to six months of bank statements for recurring daily or weekly ACH debits to funders, and for large funding deposits. Then check UCC filings and, if you are a member, DataMerch. LenderAnalyzer does the statement part automatically and lists each position with its payment amount and dates.
Stacking shows up as two or more advance-style debits being repaid in the same period, often alongside a recent funding deposit. LenderAnalyzer groups the recurring debits by payee, counts the positions paid at the same time, and reports the combined amount the open positions take out every business day.
Yes. DataMerch runs a merchant dispute page on its website for businesses that believe a record about them is wrong. Funders on industry forums have also questioned some suspicious activity records, which is one reason to verify the statements yourself rather than decline on a record alone.
Not if you rely on other funders' default history, which only DataMerch has. LenderAnalyzer answers a different question, what the merchant owes and pays right now according to its own statements. Many funders run both. For those who are not members, the statement check covers current stacking at a fraction of the cost.
Usually a few minutes per file. Upload three to six months of statements as PDFs, scans or photos, or send them through the API on the Pro plan, and the positions, daily burden, NSFs and reconciliation flags come back together, ready to export to Excel, CSV or JSON.
LenderAnalyzer starts at $99 a month flat, with volume and enterprise tiers and no per-search fee. DataMerch Basic is $695 a month. A funder that is not a DataMerch member can run a full statement check on every submission for less than a seventh of the database's entry price.
