MoneyThumb sells its lender products through a public store rather than a sales process, which makes it one of the few statement analysis vendors you can price without booking a demo. Every figure on this page was read from MoneyThumb’s own product catalog in August 2026, tier by tier, not copied from a review site.
That distinction matters here more than usual. The pages currently ranking for MoneyThumb pricing report that PDF Insights costs $24.95 a month for 5 statements, $49.95 for 20 and $99.95 for 60. Those are real MoneyThumb prices, but they belong to the desktop and online converters that push statements into QuickBooks and Excel. They are not PDF Insights. The cheapest PDF Insights tier MoneyThumb publishes is $499.95 for 400 statement conversions. If you built a budget off the $24.95 figure, you are off by a factor of twenty.
The same pages quote $0.50 to $0.65 per conversion as though it were a flat pay-as-you-go rate. It is not. Those are the floor rates at the bottom of a fifteen step volume ladder, and you only reach them at 100,000 statements a year. At the entry tier the real rate is $1.25.
Below is the complete published ladder for all three lender products, the true cost per statement at every tier, the one volume step where buying more statements costs less money, and the arithmetic for a lending team rather than a bookkeeping practice.
All prices below were read from MoneyThumb’s product catalog in August 2026 and are quoted in US dollars. The lender products sell as prepaid statement packs on an auto-refill term that renews yearly or when the balance runs low, so the numbers are annual pack prices, not monthly subscriptions. Cost per statement figures are our arithmetic on MoneyThumb’s published prices and volumes, not rates MoneyThumb advertises.
PDF Insights is the underwriting product. It reads a statement, builds a scorecard and exposes the result through a web app or an API. MoneyThumb publishes fifteen volume tiers for it. The ladder starts at $499.95 for 400 statement conversions and runs $1,149.95 at 1,000, $2,695 at 2,500, $4,995 at 5,000, $9,495 at 10,000, $15,995 at 20,000, $21,995 at 30,000, $27,995 at 40,000, $33,495 at 50,000, $37,495 at 60,000, $45,995 at 80,000, $49,500 at 90,000, $49,995 at 100,000, $74,995 at 150,000 and $99,995 at 200,000. That is a genuine volume curve: $1.25 a statement at the bottom, 50 cents at the top. Nothing here requires a quote, which is unusual in lending software and is the single best reason to shortlist MoneyThumb early.
MoneyThumb advertises PDF Insights as low as 50 cents per statement conversion, and that is accurate, but it is the floor of the ladder rather than the going rate. Work the arithmetic tier by tier and the curve reads $1.25 at 400, $1.15 at 1,000, $1.08 at 2,500, $1.00 at 5,000, $0.95 at 10,000, $0.80 at 20,000, $0.73 at 30,000, $0.70 at 40,000, $0.67 at 50,000, $0.62 at 60,000, $0.57 at 80,000 and $0.50 at 100,000. So you pay roughly two and a half times the headline rate until you are processing eight thousand statements a month. Most small business lenders and regional funders never get there. Price your budget off your real volume tier, not off the marketing number.
This is the oddity worth knowing before you click buy. The 90,000 statement pack is $49,500. The 100,000 pack is $49,995. Ten thousand extra statements cost $495, which is under five cents each against a rate of 55 cents at the tier below. Anyone landing on 90,000 should buy the 100,000 pack instead. It is almost certainly an artifact of MoneyThumb pricing the top of the ladder to hit a round 50 cents rather than a deliberate trap, but the money is real either way. Check the tier immediately above whichever one you were about to buy; the ladder is not smooth.
Past 100,000 statements the PDF Insights curve flattens completely. The 150,000 pack is $74,995 and the 200,000 pack is $99,995, both landing on exactly 50 cents. The bundled Insights plus Thumbprint product does the same thing at 65 cents from 100,000 all the way to 350,000. If you are a high volume fintech expecting the per unit price to keep dropping as you scale, the published ladder says it will not. That is the point where a conversation about a negotiated contract, or a vendor whose pricing model is not per statement, starts to pay for itself.
Thumbprint is the document fraud model, sold separately from the analysis. Its published ladder is $499.95 at 400 checks, $999.95 at 1,000, $2,395 at 2,500, $4,495 at 5,000, $8,295 at 10,000, $11,995 at 15,000, $14,995 at 20,000, $20,995 at 30,000, $32,995 at 50,000, $49,995 at 100,000, $74,995 at 150,000 and $99,995 at 200,000. Per check that runs $1.25 at the bottom, 83 cents at 10,000, 75 cents at 20,000 and 50 cents at 100,000. Buying Thumbprint standalone makes sense only if you already have an analysis engine you are happy with and the gap in your stack is authenticity checking.
This is the most useful thing on the page for anyone who wants both products. Compare the bundled price against PDF Insights alone and the fraud layer is priced as a small premium. At 400 statements the bundle is $599.95 against $499.95, so Thumbprint adds $100. At 10,000 the bundle is $10,295 against $9,495, so it adds $800. At 100,000 the bundle is $64,995 against $49,995, so it adds $15,000. Now compare those premiums with the standalone Thumbprint packs at the same volumes: $499.95, $8,295 and $49,995. At 10,000 statements the fraud check costs $800 bundled or $8,295 standalone, a difference of roughly $7,500 for the same coverage. If there is any chance you will want both, buy them together from the start.
MoneyThumb also sells the file converters it built its name on, and they are what most people mean when they say MoneyThumb is cheap. The online QuickBooks converter is $24.95 a month for 5 statement conversions, $49.95 for 20 and $99.95 for 60, or $124.95 a year for 25, $199.95 for 60, $399.95 for 240, $799.95 for 800, $1,199.95 for 1,500, $2,199.95 for 3,000 and $3,999.95 for 6,000. The spreadsheet converter follows the same ladder; the Quicken and general accounting versions top out at $799.95. Note what the entry tier really costs: $24.95 for 5 conversions a month is $4.99 a statement, four times the entry rate on PDF Insights and ten times the floor rate. The converters are cheap in absolute dollars because the volumes are tiny, not because the unit price is low. They also do a different job, returning a QBO or CSV file rather than an underwriting scorecard.
The lender products are sold on an auto-refill term that MoneyThumb describes as renewing yearly or when the balance runs low, so you are prepaying a pool of statement conversions rather than renting a monthly allowance. That suits lumpy lending volume better than a monthly cap that resets whether you used it or not. The unit to pin down before you sign is what counts as one conversion. MoneyThumb prices in statement conversions, and a statement generally means one account for one month, which implies a twelve month combined PDF consumes twelve conversions rather than one. Get that confirmed in writing, because it is the difference between a plausible budget and one that is out by an order of magnitude.
Underwriting one commercial application typically means three deposit accounts across twelve months, which is 36 statement conversions before anyone opens a tax return. A funder running 50 applications a month is at roughly 1,800 conversions a month, or 21,600 a year, which lands on the 30,000 pack at $21,995 and about 73 cents a statement. An MCA shop running 400 submissions a month with a single account across six months is around 28,800 a year, similar tier. Run your own number before you look at any published rate, because the tier you land on moves the unit price by more than two to one, and the gap between the tier you expect and the tier you actually hit is where document budgets go wrong.
PDF Insights returns a scorecard and Thumbprint returns a fraud score, and both do that well. Neither is a credit decision. The figures a commercial file actually turns on still have to come from somewhere: true revenue net of internal transfers, average daily balance, NSF and negative day counts, deposit frequency and concentration, and every existing advance or loan payment grouped by funder. Some of that you can derive from a scorecard and some you cannot. The other thing per statement pricing does not cover is the rest of the file. Tax returns, financial statements, debt schedules and rent rolls are not bank statements, and a per statement meter has nothing to say about them. Price the whole document workload, not just the part that is easy to count.

MoneyThumb costs $499.95 a year for 400 PDF Insights statement conversions at the entry tier, rising through fifteen published steps to $99,995 for 200,000. The bundle with Thumbprint fraud checking runs $599.95 to $226,995. The separate file converters are far cheaper in absolute terms, starting at $24.95 a month for 5 conversions, because the volumes are much smaller.
PDF Insights works out to $1.25 a statement at the 400 tier, about 95 cents at 10,000, 80 cents at 20,000, 67 cents at 50,000 and 50 cents at 100,000 and above. The advertised 50 cent rate is the floor of the volume ladder, not a standard rate, and it requires 100,000 statement conversions a year. These are our calculations on MoneyThumb’s published pack prices.
Yes, and that is unusual in this category. MoneyThumb lists every tier of PDF Insights, Thumbprint and the converters as buyable products with visible prices, so you can budget without a demo call. Ocrolus, Abrigo, nCino and most enterprise lending suites publish nothing and quote per institution. Some MoneyThumb product pages are password protected, but the catalog prices are public.
PDF Insights reads a bank statement and produces an underwriting scorecard from the transactions. Thumbprint is a separate fraud model that judges whether the document itself is authentic, altered after the bank issued it, or fabricated. They answer different questions, one about the borrower and one about the file, and MoneyThumb sells them separately or bundled.
Bundled, by a wide margin. At 10,000 statements the bundle costs $10,295 against $9,495 for PDF Insights alone, so the fraud layer adds $800. Standalone Thumbprint at the same 10,000 volume is $8,295. That is roughly $7,500 more for the same coverage. If you may want both products, buy them together from the start.
MoneyThumb does not publish a free trial for PDF Insights or Thumbprint in its product catalog, and the lender products are sold as prepaid packs starting at $499.95. The low cost converters are the cheapest way to test extraction quality on your own documents, though they return a QBO or CSV file rather than the underwriting scorecard. Ask MoneyThumb directly about a pilot before committing to a pack.
At the 400 statement tier you are paying $499.95 a year, or $1.25 a statement, for scorecards and an API. That is reasonable if bank statements are the whole job. It gets harder to justify when a file also contains tax returns, financial statements and debt schedules, because a per statement meter does not price those and you end up paying twice for one workflow.
MoneyThumb prices in statement conversions, and a conversion generally means one account for one month rather than one uploaded file. On that basis a twelve month combined PDF consumes twelve conversions, not one, and a three account file across a year consumes 36. Confirm the definition in writing before you size a pack, because it changes your annual volume by an order of magnitude.
